چکیده

Background: Correlation between prediction tools of disability and traditional physical performance tests in ascertaining risks remains unexplored. Objectives: The present study aimed to assess the convergent validity STarT back tool (SBT) for predicting risk using spinal range motion (ROM). Methods: Thirty patients with low-back pain (LBP) volunteered this study. We used SBT Dual inclinometers future ROM, as well Anthropometric factors intensity. Results: Poor moderate ROM forward (93.3%, 6.7%), left lateral (63.30%, 36.70%) right (80.00%, 20.00%) flexion respectively were common among participants. Backward extension (36.70%, 46.70%) was mostly good very good. There a 60% medium based on SBT. no significant association (χ2 = 3.367, P > 0.05). Conclusions: assessment are independent measures functional disability. They should complement one another clinical procedures effective outcomes treatment LBP.

Relationship between STarT Back Screening Tool and prognosis for low back pain patients receiving spinal manipulative therapy

BACKGROUND Low back pain (LBP) is common and costly and few treatments have been shown to be markedly superior to any other. Effort has been focused on stratifying patients to better target treatment. Recently the STarT Back Screening Tool (SBT) has been developed for use in primary care to enable sub grouping of patients based on modifiable baseline characteristics and has been shown to be ass...

Previous studies have shown that low back pain reduces proprioception due to instability in the low back. Since the degenerative process of disc herniation is one of the important factors in exacerbating ...

Feasibility of the STarT back screening tool in chiropractic clinics: a cross-sectional study of patients with low back pain

The STarT back screening tool (SBT) allocates low back pain (LBP) patients into three risk groups and is intended to assist clinicians in their decisions about choice of treatment. The tool consists of domains from larger questionnaires that previously have been shown to be predictive of non-recovery from LBP. This study was performed to describe the distribution of depression, fear avoidance a...
